• What types of mortgages can you help with?

    We can help with all types of mortgages: residential, buy-to-let, commercial or bridging loans. We can find the best rates whether you are applying in your personal name or via a limited company/SPV.

  • How much will this service cost me?

    Our consultant fee will vary depending on the individual case. The fee will be no more than £999, however this is only payable once we have an agreement in principal and you decide to proceed with the mortgage. This one-off payment gives you access to our up-to-the-minute and time-saving technology, along with the reassurance that we will source the most suitable mortgage for your individual circumstances in order to secure you significant long-term savings.

  • Which lenders do you work with?

    We are directly authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and therefore have access to the whole of the mortgage market.

  • How do I know that I'm getting the best deal?

    Alongside access to the whole of the mortgage market, The Good Mortgage Company benefits from long-established links with many mainstream and niche lenders who frequently offer us exclusive, market-leading rates. We will ensure that you get the most suitable deal for your circumstances.

  • What documentation will you need from me?

    The documentation required differs from lender to lender, but as a general guide we would require up to 3 months' worth of payslips and bank statements; ID; proof of address; P60 document if employed; SA302 document if self-employed or accounts if applying as a limited company.

  • What do I do if I'm unsure of the answer to one of the questions?

    It's important to be as accurate as possible when answering the questions as your responses will dictate the mortgage rates that we can source for you. However, if you are unsure of any answer simply make your best estimate and then raise this with our consultant when they call you back.

  • When will I find out if my mortgage has been approved?

    Lenders inevitably work to different timescales but we will be able to give you an indication of likely turnaround times once you have decided to proceed with a particular product. Our support staff will monitor your application carefully and provide you with regular updates regarding progress.
